What is GRE? Why should i take GRE Test? Everything (A to Z) Explained about GRE Test !

The GRE (GRE) is the most widely used test in the world to test an applicant's ability to apply for a Masters or PhD program. The full form of this is Graduate Record Examination.

You have to admit that, the quality of teaching and evaluation method varies from country to country and from university to university. To get grade point 4.00, you have to get 80 marks out of 100 somewhere, again you have to get 96 marks somewhere. So comparing a student's CGPA with a university student in another country, it is very difficult to determine who is really more talented. In this case, if both students participate in a world-class assessment test, it is possible to get a relatively accurate picture of their merits by looking at the scores.

Each year, more than half a million students take the GRE test at more than 1,000 test centers in 180 countries. The test is organized by a non-profit organization called Educational Testing Service (ETS).

Countries with GRE Requirements :

Universities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and some European countries require a GRE score to apply for admission. Although it is primarily a test of students' eligibility for admission to engineering and science courses, GRE (GRE) scores are now being taken in business and law programs as well. At the same time, universities with a good GRE score are considered for admission in countries where it does not apply. Moreover, it always helps the students to get good funding in the programs.

How the test is taken :

There are currently two types of tests. These are General Test and Subject Test. However, the GRE is basically the General Test. General tests are taken in almost all programs including MS, MBS.

In the general test, students are tested in three steps. These are verbal, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. Score range for passing - 130 to 160 in Verbal Reasoning, 130 to 160 in Quantitative Reasoning and 0 to 8 in Analytical Writing.
One hour of analytical writing. During this time a student has to write two types of essays based on issue and argumentative. Each section is allotted 30 minutes. If you have good writing skills and analytical skills in English, you can easily get 3.5-4 in writing.

In Verbal, a total of 40 questions are given in 20 sections in two sections and the time for this is one hour. Meanwhile, for Quantitative, a total of 60 minutes is given for 35 minutes for the same number of questions. With good preparation, it is possible to achieve a score of 280-340 in both the sections.

Meanwhile, the GRE subject test shows the skill of a particular subject. There are currently GRE subject tests on Mathematics, English Literature, Physics, Psychology, Biology and Chemistry. Subject tests were taken on a number of other subjects, including biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and computer science. However, since 2016, GRE subject test is not being taken on them.
