Bollywood star Aamir Khan has revealed that he had decided to quit the Hindi film industry in the last two years during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a new interview, Aamir added that he didn't announce his decision as he thought people might call it a 'marketing scheme' ahead of Laal Singh Chadda's release. The actor also said that it was his ex-wife, film producer Kiran Rao, who explained to him that his decision was not right. Aamir recalled Kiran crying after he informed her about his decision.
Aamir said that after his decision he had started working with his daughter Ira Khan. He said that his children also told him that his decision was wrong and asked him to find a balance in his life. Aamir joked that his children told him that the time he spent with them in three months was more than he did in the last 30 years and they were 'a bit tired of him'. He added that they told him that though they were happy, he should go 'a bit easy'.
