Elon Musk just bought Twitter and made big decisions regarding platform changes. But, it seems it is very expensive for the staff. Some Twitter engineers have been asked to work 12 hours a day, seven days a week, according to information shared by CNBC. Twitter officials have told employees they will have to work overtime to meet Elon Musk's tight deadline for the changes.
"Twitter officials instructed some employees to work 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, to meet Musk's drastic deadlines, according to internal communications," the report said.
The cited source also revealed that employees were asked to work overtime without any discussion of "overtime pay or hours of compensation, or job security." Engineers have a deadline of early November, and if they don't meet the requirements, they could lose their jobs.
"Completing assignments before the early November deadline is considered a career determinant at Twitter," the report said. Elon Musk is said to be threatening people with 50% layoffs to force employees to comply with orders.
